Leaving On A Jet Plane

All my bags are packed, I’m ready to go..

Well not quite.

How exactly does one fit her life into a bunch of suitcases? Especially someone like me who’s had two closets for the past two years (my Manila closet and my Shanghai closet).

It will be tough.. I don’t even know when or how to start.

In two weeks I’ll be in America. You have no idea how mind-blowing that is to me. Okay I mean I know I’m exaggerating. It’s not exactly my first time in the US. This will be my 10th.. but my first time as an immigrant. So it’s a big deal.

I still have two weeks though, and it will be really busy for me. I need to do so many things:

1. Pack

2. Change my savings into dollars

3. Do all the necessary vanity stuff.. It will be expensive in America! (Perm, mani/pedi, wax etc..)

4. Do the necessary goodbyes to the necessary people.

-Okay this part really sucks. I hate goodbyes. I know I’ll still come back but who knows when, Christmas maybe? That’s still a long time!

5. Buy a lifetime supply of dogfood for my 3 dogs

Gosh.. As I am writing this I am just coming up with more and more things to add to this list. Yikes! Anyway, I’ll do what I can do, I’ll make the most of my time left, and I will welcome my new life with open arms.

America, here I come!
