First Haircut

Disclaimer: This post is my feeble attempt at some-kind of a  beauty-ish blog post. I’m talking about hair! Bear with me 🙂

So yesterday I had my first haircut here. Major milestone, I know. My hair was getting  so long and it was getting dry and the ends were splitting, so I finally decided that I really needed a trim already. I’m not very picky with my hair, and I’m pretty relaxed about it. Apart from my yearly perms, I don’t ever do anything else to it. No color, no highlights, no treatments; and I like to just wash and wear it. For my maintenance, I just put some curling cream or wax and it’s all good.

Tim usually gets his hair cut at Holiday Hair, so I went there too. The Russian lady who cut my hair was pretty good, and I think she did a fairly good job. I think I’ll go back there. Over-all it was a fairly easy process and I was quite happy. You see, getting haircuts or anything done to my hair is quite a stressful and unpleasant experience for me only because since 2009 I have not had a fixed hairdresser. I moved around so much that I always end up with someone new, and I never know if he/she will do a good job or not, and I always have mixed feelings about the outcome. Today was okay though, I was quite pleased with it. Yay!

Here are some before and after shots..

That’s a really nice haircut. How much did it cost you? 🙂

Sorry I asked. 😀 My fiance told me that haircuts are expensive in the US as compared to the PI. I’m still thinking if I should get a drastic haircut before I leave in 2 weeks. Still have to think about it. Hmmmmm…..
