EAD/AP Approval and some other tidbits..

So since I got the RFE last May 26th, I figured that my EAD/AP would stall too, since all this time I thought that those two were dependent on your AOS. Because of this, I never bothered to check my case status on USCIS. But since Timmy is away for two weeks I was so bored that I finally decided to just check for fun, and lo and behold I find out that on June 1st, both applications were approved, and card production was ordered too!!! Ahhh how fun!!! Too bad I don’t plan to work, so what I really need is the GC. I sent the RFE response last Friday and it was delivered this Monday (June 6th) so hopefully I hear a response from them soon, and that they will be happy with what I sent and I can be approved and USCIS-free for 2 whole years.. Ahhhh, that would be the dream, wouldn’t it??

Tim is out on his Annual Training right now so I’m husband-less for two weeks and it sucks 😦 I’m here at my aunt’s place in NY though and it’s been fun to be with my relatives. I got to eat some good Filipino food too….mmmmmmmm 🙂

I’ve been pretty busy. My cousins and I saw the movie BRIDESMAIDS and it was hilarious. I really enjoyed it! I so love Rose Byrne, I think she’s gorgeous.. It’s funny because I still remember her from Wicker Park and now she’s playing all these comedic characters. I would love to see her star in her own romcom someday.. 🙂

Last Sunday was the Philippine Independence Day parade along Madison Ave in NYC. My aunt decided to go, and I thought we were going just to watch it. As it turns out, we were marching too! We were part of the Siliman University, Dumaguete City group. I got to see my godfather, the VP of the Philippines, VP Jejomar Binay and some celebrities like Jericho Rosales and Karylle. It was fun! We also got to go to the food fair and I got lots of yummy Filipino food like pancit, adobo and bananacue.. 🙂

Here are some photos!

Congrats on the marriage! AOS from a tourist visa is a little different from what I went through but still a pretty straightforward process. Goodluck! 🙂 Yes I was born in Dumaguete but raised in Manila! Kasabot ko 🙂

Hello! Congratz! I have a stupid question though.. Did you change your signature in filing these forms? I mean, we have a maiden signature but I’m wondering if I could change my signature to my married name? I know this might be dumb but I just want to be sure. Thanks!
