Summer semester is over!

As each semester passes, I get closer and closer to my dream of being a certified SLP!! Woohoo!! I’m happy to say that I survived this semester despite all the crazy challenges that came with it! Being pregnant while in grad school is not something I will recommend to the faint-hearted, or if you’re like me, the ones who have delicate pregnancies. Unfortunately, I was not the lucky pregnant girl who barely had morning sickness, I was the exact opposite! I was the type to have numerous daily throw-up sessions, be extremely sensitive to smells and just overly fatigued ALL THE TIME. Not exactly a good way to be in school, but somehow I survived! You really just have to take it day by day and remember that you are doing this for the baby too.

Though the shortest semester, it doesn’t mean it was easier. This semester packed a punch! Our classes were tough.. Swallowing, Craniofacial Disorders and Stuttering are all pretty heavy subjects but they were all so interesting! Plus add being assigned to the extended school year program at the schools, having a clinic client and doing thesis testing all summer makes for a very busy pregnant girl. I am just so glad its over! 3 down, 2 to go.. woohoo!!!!
