A recap of weeks 14-18! :)

So I’ve survived the first month of my second trimester! I can’t believe I am 19 weeks this week and almost halfway through this pregnancy! πŸ™‚

So far the second trimester has been awesome for me. My nausea has completely subsided, it was like a switch was turned off and now I’m okay! I would say that the nausea completely went away at 15 weeks. Now it doesn’t mean I never threw up again.. but I think in those four weeks I must have thrown up only about 3 times, compared to about 3x a day in the past. Its a huge relief coz I can actually function now. I can go back to the kitchen, do chores.. I can be normal!

My tummy is still very tiny.. there is a noticeable bump but I would say it only became prominent at week 18, and even then its still something I could hide if I really wanted to.

I experienced my first episode of leg cramps about two weeks ago, I just woke up one night and it was terribly painful! Good thing Tim was there and he massaged my leg for me. Yesterday I also had a sudden dizzy spell, which I guess is pretty normal too. Good thing I was just sitting down, and it subsided right away.

As for cravings, I never used to be into Subway but there was a week where we went back there 3x! It was pretty funny! πŸ™‚ Other than that I would say the biggest change would be experiencing the kicks. The flutters began at week 17. I felt it but they were so small and it was only me who could catch it, Tim couldn’t feel it even if he pressed on my belly (although the baby did do a special kick just for him before he left, which made him so happy!) Yesterday I noticed how much stronger the kicks were becoming, and I could actually feel them when I put my hand on my belly. What a strong baby! πŸ™‚

Anyway, I think that’s pretty much it for my main recap. I’m starting to get really excited for the next coming weeks.. In two weeks I have my anatomy scan to check everything and get the gender, I am psyched! Once I do that I will be working on my baby registry. πŸ™‚

I love you my baby!! Keep growing strong and healthy and we are so excited to meet you and hold you πŸ™‚ Mommy and especially daddy loves you so much πŸ™‚

Aww congratulations! I’m glad I found your blog – I am always looking for new preggos to keep up with! It’s nice to know other people feel the same way I do sometimes! I am 12 weeks and just can’t wait to feel baby kick! With our first I felt her at 18 weeks- I’m hoping that since I’m an experienced kick detector, I will feel it sooner this go round ! As for leg cramps- those are terrible! I’d never had them before I was pregnant and I found that flexing my foot as far up as it would go made them relax…just a random finding of my own. I also got restless legs – u had any of that? It’s like you’re having growing pains in your legs when you lay down! Well if you want to come over and see me, I’m at http://www.birminghambell.com ! Maybe we can keep up with each others round-ness! πŸ™‚
