About the girl who took a leap of faith and lived to blog about it

I’m Steph, a 23-year-old girl who was born and raised in the Philippines. Upon graduating, I moved to Shanghai to learn Mandarin and that’s where I met my Timmy.. We met, fell in love, filed the k1 visa and the rest as they say is history. Join me as I chronicle my day-to-day adventures upon moving to America.

    Hello Steph,

How are you? I hope all is well with you, your family and your soon to be husband. And surely this message finds you in the very best of spirits.

The reason for making contact with you is to….

First CONGRATULATE you and Tim on your engagment and your upcoming wedding. And to say that I have read your blog, viewed your website and I am impressed with all of the effort and prep you have put into this endeavor. I can feel your excitement!

I am a former Marine and I salute Tim for his service to this nation…I admire the young men/women that stand at the ready to defend this great nation. Oh, and the wives deserve a big hand also.

Steph, you and Tim make a great looking couple…may you have many years of JOY, HEALTH and HAPPINESS!

    Warm regards,
    Gary Stanley

I wanted to introduce you to a service for the military you might be interested in sharing. SoldierSend is an online gift registry for the military. Troops go on and create a free profile, upload a pic, and fill out a wish list of things they want. Supporters can then send care packages with the click of a button. SoldierSend sends it for you.
